The initial inspiration for our proposal was generated from the site and the richness of its landscape. The ever-changing tones of the sand in its wet and dry form, combined with the intense blue of the Atlantic and the lush green of the soaring cliffs, provoked us to focus on these soothing colors and reflected them in the materiality and color palette throughout the ambience of the Hotel. Astet’s intention was to have a hotel that is in service throughout all months of the year, and that proposed a certain complexity on an aesthetic and functional level which was reflected in the choice of materials and furniture selection.
