THE STUDIO

Astet is a multidisciplinary studio based in Barcelona founded by architects Oscar Engroba and Ala Zreigat.

Astet combines architecture, interior design, industrial design and branding to create spaces
and products that are honest and true to the studio’s values. We create spaces with strong personality by balancing simplicity and complexity. We aim at exploring ideas that are aesthetic and serve to enhance the human experience. Astet specializes in the conceptualization of gastronomic spaces, hotels, and private residences.

Astet Studio’s vision lies in authenticity; working to create something unique and truly adaptable to the clients needs. The studio has grown its influence internationaly and has been established as an award-winning hospitality pioneer.

ALA ZREIGAT & ÓSCAR ENGROBA. FOUNDERS

Ala, born in Jordan, is an architect, managing director and co-founder of Astet Studio. He moved to Barcelona in 2010 to study a master’s degree in architecture. Before founding the studio with Oscar, a long-time friend, Ala collaborated for more than ten years in different internationally renowned architecture and interior design studios in the Middle East and Spain. Combining his sociability with his management skills and strategic thinking, Ala always seeks to establish a fluid communication between the studio and the client while always upholding Astet’s core values.

Oscar, born in Galicia, is an architect, interior designer, creative director, and co-founder of Astet Studio. Oscar moved from Galicia to Barcelona in 2008 to pursue his career in design undertaking a master’s degree in interior design. Seeking to complement his knowledge with international experience, he worked in cities like London and Marrakech. Committed to creating unique projects with a distinctive character, he unites his expertise in design with his passion for details, materials, and branding to bring about projects with great personality and a high level of sophistication and detail refinement.
